Four Months Old

Today, Truth is four months old. I have been exploring this small road just north of our center for the past couple weeks and thought it would be nice to take some photos there today. Truth enjoys short trips on our scooter.

Something that has been on my mind for four months...

It is common to see children, in India, with small black marks on their forehead or cheeks. Parents place this mark on their child to protect them from harm. Along with these black marks, called "kajol", parents will also wrap thread around a child's waist or have them wear blessed necklaces, bracelets or anklets. Sadly, this is even a common practice in some christian circles. Well, we are thankful for a healthy, clever and smiling baby. She doesn't know it yet, but even at her young age, she is an example of having faith in the caring God.

Picnic

After driving for 45 minutes, we had a small picnic near a church on top of a small hill. This is one of my favorite places in Goa for it has a wonderful view.

Visitors

Hephzibah's father and two brothers came in from Karnataka today. Here is the group getting lunch on the beach. This was also the first time for her brothers to see the ocean. Today, at this same restaurant, I met a Canadian with an Irish accent that had just moved from Thailand to India to attend a University. His name is David. Does anyone know of this man? We spent 30 minutes talking about religious persecution in India while looking at a rainbow that covered the entire sky! Most people that make it to Goa have an interesting background and a colorful perspective of things.

Small (Big) Changes

I want to work with some larger photos on this site. Along with this first change, there may be some more subtle changes in the upcoming week.
