Five More Months And Ken Arrived

Four months finished. We just went in for her check-up, yesterday, and everything is good so far.

Ken arrived earlier today. He will be with us for a few days and will be preaching at the center tomorrow. He and Hephzibah chatted quite a bit in Hindi tonight.

Woody In Goa, Part 3

My last blog and testament. This past weekend was difficult due to bad drinking water. For two days, I was confined to my room. I won't go into further details. My underwear also caught on fire. Fortunately, I wasn't wearing them. It did startle me, since the flame was two feet high and started in the middle of the night. Plus, I was sound asleep at the time. But something or someone woke me out of a sound sleep to see the flame. Praise the Lord for his protection.








I preached to a record crowd at the church. There were 57 children and about 30 adults. The Spirit moved. I saw tears in people's eyes and faces reflecting the presence of God in the room. I am still amazed at the spiritual unity and love achievable between strangers who are also brothers and sisters in Christ half a world apart. We truly serve one Lord who makes us one. See you soon.

Woody In Goa, Part 2

Today is Feb. 13. This past weekend, we went to Khanapur. There, we met Cameron's Wife's Family. (Hephzibah is her name) Aaron, her father, is a pastor in that city. When we arrived, we were greeted by most of the church, approximately thirty people in their living room. Later that evening, we had a church service there. I preached, Bijoy interpreted, we prayed, God blessed. That night Chuck, Frank, Dan and I slept where we worshiped earlier. This family of Christians is incredible. Such love, such joy, such sincerity. It was moving to just be with them. The trip there was hard, but worth it. This group of believers is going to join the BIC church and this visit solidified the new partnership.

Woody In Goa, Part 1

My journey went well. I slept most of the trip (a surprise), and have not experienced jet lag (a miracle). I was privileged to attend a history making day. The work at Goa became an official BIC conference. Bijoy presided. The people of Goa voted. Tonight, I attended a Kidz Up club. 24 beautiful children participated. Such Smiles! Alas, I did somehow miss packing all but one short sleeve shirt. Fortunately, Chuck is prepared for any and every emergency. Thanks to him, I have two t-shirts and a short sleeve shirt. Frank also loaned me one of his. God is Good, even if my mind isn't.
